Chinese Cooking with Ching-He Huang (Vegan Friendly)

We're delighted to welcome Ching-He Huang back to Leiths for her popular, hands-on masterclass in which students will learn to cook an amazing array of delicious Chinese recipes.

Due to the amount of travel required by her work, this is currently Ching's only class in the UK and is therefore an exclusive opportunity to cook with and be taught by the celebrated chef.

Ching is one of the most influential voices in Chinese cookery and has appeared on TV both in the UK and USA. She has a monthly slot on ITV's Lorraine, has featured regularly on BBC One's Saturday Kitchen and presented BBC Two's Exploring Chinaalongside Ken Hom.

With help from Ching and the Leiths teachers, you'll learn how to achieve the distinctive flavours and textures of beloved Chinese dishes such as Sichuan smoked tofu gan and Wok-fried spicy spring onion salsa verde.

The class on Saturday 4th November will focus on vegan dishes, introducing you to recipes that vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike will want to cook again and again. As well as the following recipes, Ching will explain how tofu is made, what the difference is between the numerous varieties of tofu and how to make soybean noodles.

Edamame mapo tofu
Sweetheart cabbage with sweetcorn and chilli
Sichuan smoked tofu gan with celery and roasted peanuts
Chinese wok-fried spicy spring onion salsa verde with kale and noodles
Sichuan French beans on chilled silken tofu
