Clodagh Mckenna is an Irish chef, restaurateur and food writer. She studied in France and New York and trained as a chef at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork.
Currently based in Dublin, Clodagh owns two bustling restaurants, in Blackrock and Dublin, which have a strong focus on local and seasonal produce. Her food influences are drawn from living, cooking and eating in Italy, France, New York, Cork and Dublin. Clodagh has filmed several TV series, which have aired on RTÄ, Good Food Channel in the UK (Market Kitchen, Saturday Kitchen, Rick Stein's Food Heroes) and in many other countries. Her TV series, Clodagh's Irish Food Trails, took the US by storm, reaching audience levels of 20 million and she is a regular on the Rachael Ray Show.
Clodagh is a successful food writer having published five cookbooks to date. She has been guest editor of the first ever Irish Times glossy Food and Wine Magazine and written a column in one of Ireland's leading magazines, The Gloss. In 2014 she launched her online food journal The Daily Digest and has contributed to The Wall Street Journal, Delicious, Red, Image and many more. She currently writes a monthly column for The Sunday Business Post and has recently joined forces with Aer Lingus to collaborate on designing all their menus.
